Happy New Year!
As we start the year in 2018, we can’t help but look back at 2017 in awe. It’s been quite the year, with many great memories, friends — and LOTS of cider! With over 5 dozen community events, festivals, and gatherings — saying we were busy, would be quite the understatement! But we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Year in Review
This year we launched our 4th year-round product, Desolation Prickly Pear — which has been a smashing success. To hear all the “oohs” and “ahhs” over this unique hard cider, was quite the treat. And not only is this latest release refreshing and delicious, but it’s also helped our community partner, Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA), in their fight to protect Utah’s wilderness. Which we will always be proud to be part of.
Speaking of community partners, we’ve been so grateful to be part of some pretty amazing events and initiatives this past year. Utah Pride Center, Damn These Heels Film Festival, City Weekly’s Beer Fest, Made in Utah, and Subaru’s Share The Love Event — just to name a few! Hey, even The New Utah Podcast thought we were cool enough to come down and chat with us! Thank you to everyone who has invited us to be part of their events, and also to those of you who’ve come help support our amusing ideas … (pet portraits!).
We’re so excited to have our ciders in even more bars and restaurants throughout the Salt Lake Valley, in Park City and Ogden, as well cities and towns in southern Utah. We were voted City Weekly’s Best Cider for the second year in a row (thank you fans!), and had one epic 4th West Oktoberfest weekend! It really couldn’t have been done without all your support, so seriously, THANK YOU for being fans and continuing to #AskForRuby.
Looking Ahead
The MTN WST team took 2017 head on, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon! We have some pretty exciting things in store for 2018, including cans (gasp! and yay!), neighboring state distribution (Wyoming, and coming soon to Idaho), as well as — wait for it — a traditional, German-style beer garden! Yes, that’s right, we are in the very early planning stages of opening a beer garden on the south side of the cidery. We know, we can’t wait either! So, keep your eyes and ears open for more news and developments on that. Just picture this: cider, beer, cocktails, food trucks, music, good friends, cool summer nights. #Memories…
Thank You
Again, thank you for all your support. We’re very excited for what 2018 will bring, and what our future holds. And as always, please keep coming to us with your ideas and feedback. We love being part of this community, this state, and being your friends.
CHEERS!
